Avoid dangerous situations and teach children not to approach a
strange dog.

Children should ask permission before petting a dog.

Never disturb a dog that is caring for puppies, sleeping or eating.

Never run from a dog, stand still, and avoid eye contact. The dog
will sniff you and go away once he’s determined you are not
a threat.

If you fall or are on the ground, curl up in a ball with your hand
over your ears and protect your face. Again, don’t move and
the dog will soon go away.
