Reasons To Spay And Neuter Your Dog or Cat

Keeping Your Pet Rabbit Cool

Rabbits are very sensitive to heat...they can tolerate the winter weather alot easier than summer. I have had pet rabbits for many years and have learned from lots of trial and errors and reading.

Sadly I lost 2 sister rabbits to the heat last year and am hoping to avoid that this year.

I have found that if I take an empty 2 liter soda bottle and fill it almost to the top with water and freeze it the rabbits will lay beside it when they get to hot and when they get to cool they get up and move. If you fill the soda bottle all the way up then it wiil bust when it freezes so you have to leave a couple of inches at the top.

I also use a fan on some of my rabbits but that alone is not enough.
